Beggars Badges, Fifeshire, Kirkcaldy, a uniface lead badge, kirkaldy poor divided by triple-turreted castle, no.10 at sides, 94 x 75mm, 175.28g (K & L p.295; cf. Brodie 513). Good fine and very rare; with integral suspension loop (£200-250)

It should be pointed out that the badge in the Brodie collection with the number 10 [now in the Hunterian Museum, Glasgow], although generally of inferior definition to the present item, has the same surface knocks and marks
