Charles I (1625-1649), Pontefract, Shilling, 1648, Charles II, type I, obv. from a Charles I die, rev. carolvs secvndvs (n reversed) and date around gateway, obs to left, pc above, cannon protruding to right, 4.78g/11h (Hird 279-81, same dies; N 2648; S 3150). Legends weak in places and cannon smoothed, otherwise good very fine, very rare (£2,500-3,000)
