Three: Private J. Jones, Somerset Light Infantry, who killed in action on the Western Front on the first day of the Battle of Loos, 25 September 1915

James Jones was born at Resolven, Glamorgan, and attested for the Somerset Light Infantry at Neath. He served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 8 September 1915, and was posted missing, presumed killed in action, only a few weeks later on the first day of the Battle of Loos, 25 September 1915, at the age of 20. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Loos Memorial, France.
