Albert Jones was born in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. He attested for the Royal Artillery at Woolwich in January 1891, and served ‘T’ Battery, Royal Horse Artillery in South Africa, December 1899 - August 1902. Jones was discharged, 21 January 1903, having served for 12 years. He died at Manor Hospital, Walsall in October 1938.
