Roy B. Shepherd attested for the Royal Scots and served with them during the Great War in the Gallipoli theatre of War from 8 June 1915. He was commissioned Second Lieutenant, General List, and subsequently served with the Labour Corps, being Mentioned in Despatches for his services in Egypt.
