Ribbick was awarded his Efficiency Medal per Army Order 243 of November 1937, whilst serving as a Drummer with the 4th Battalion, Hampshire Regiment; the first Additional Award Bar in September 1942, whilst serving as a Corporal; and the second Additional Award Bar in February 1947, whilst serving as a Corporal in the Royal Hampshire Regiment.
