Walter Williams was born on 22 December 1872 in Cornwall, entering naval service on 3 March 1891.

George William Temple was born on 5 December 1894 in Gosport, entering naval service on 16 June 1913. He was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal on 1 August 1928.
