Thomas Worswick & Sons, gold- and silver-smiths, watchmakers and jewellers, New street, proprietors Thomas Worswick (1730-1804), his sons Alexander (1765-1814), and Richard (1769-1819). The Worswicks, who had commercial interests in the West Indies and who were linked by marriage to the Gillow family of furniture manufacturers (Thomas Worswick’s second wife was Alice Gillow [1731-1802]), established their own bank, but this ceased trading in 1822
