Daniel Eccleston (1745-1821), Queen street, merchant and insurance broker, numismatist and ‘social gadfly’ (cf. Doty, CTCJ December 1998, pp.16-23); his tokens, struck by Matthew Boulton from copper supplied by the issuer, were sent to him on 25 August 1794, yet the account was never settled in full
