James II (1437-1460), Second coinage, Second issue, Groat, type II, Edinburgh, mm. crown, rev. annulet and three pellets in first and fourth quarters, crown in second and third quarters, 3.44g/4h (SCBI 35, 702, same obv. die; cf. B 19a-b, same obv. die; S 5233). Striking split at 4 o’clock and reverse slightly double-struck, otherwise very fine (£250-300)
