James VI (1567-1625), Before Accession, Ryal, 1570/69, 30.21g/8h (SCBI 35, 1208; B 5; S 5472). Reverse with crowned thistle countermark for the 1578 revaluation, obverse nearly very fine, reverse with some hairlines but fine, the overdate clear (£350-450)
