Richard II (1377-1399), Third issue, Noble, type IIIa, Calais, mm. cross pattée on rev. only, flag at stern, with French title, 7.55g/7h (cf. SCBI Schneider 167-8; N 1307; S 1662). Obverse from a rusted die and edge lightly hammered to make round, otherwise extremely fine, rare (£2,400-2,800)
