Richard II (1377-1399), Second issue, Groat, type II/I mule, mm. cross pattée, three pellets above crown, 4.28g/2h (Potter IIa/IF, pl.xix, 3, this coin; N 1320b/a; S 1679/1678). Flan flaws both sides, otherwise very fine and well-centred, extremely rare; only three specimens recorded by Potter (£800-900)
