Edward III (1327-1377), Pre-Treaty period, Groat, series E, London, mm. cross 2, bust and lettering of unusual style, double tressure of equally thick lines with fleurs on all cusps, rev. normal style, ns of london barred, the second reversely, 4.53g/3h (Lawrence p.84 (a); Potter 148; N 1163; S 1567). Legends weak in places, otherwise nearly very fine, toned, extremely rare (£200-250)
