Cnut (1016-1035), Quatrefoil type, Penny, Thurcetel, dvrctel on hvnt, pellet behind bust, rev. large gouge and small pellet in third quarter, 0.89g/3h (Eaglen 186, dies Ce [1], this coin; N 781; S 1157). Flaw and hairline scratch on obverse, nearly very fine, extremely rare; the sole type for this moneyer who was unkown for the mint prior to the ‘Cnut’ Hoard (£350-400)
