George III (1760-1820), Pre-1816 issues, Pattern Penny, 1797, by C.H. Küchler, in copper, laureate draped bust right, wreath with mb on ribbon between two rosettes below, rev. Britannia seated left on globe, date in exergue, spray with soho on ribbon below, edge plain, 27.98g/6h (BMC 1083; Selig 1273). Rim knock on reverse at 1 o’clock, otherwise as struck, rare (£250-300)
