Charles I (1625-1649), Pontefract, Posthumous Shilling, 1648, from the same obv. die but re-touched to show pearls on arches of crown, more decoration and frosted interior, rev. carolvs secvndvs: 1648 around castle gateway with obs left, pc above and cannon protruding to right, octagonal flan, 4.44g/11h (Hird 279-281, same dies; SCBI Brooker 1234, same dies; N 2648; S 3150). Centre cracked, nearly very fine, rare (£2,000-2,500)
