M.I.D. London Gazette 6 March 1947 ‘In recognition of gallant and distinguished service in the S.W. Pacific.’

Alan James Arland Stubbs was born on 20 September 1898 and served during the Great War as a Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery. Became Lieutenant in the Australian Army Service Corps on 13 February 1941 and was attached to Canteen Services. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in April 1946 and transferred to the Reserve List of Officers. Sold with copy of complete service records.
