Private William Harry Applin was born in Fisherton, Wiltshire and lived at Salisbury. He was killed in action France and Flanders 19 May 1917 whilst serving with the 1st battalion Border Regiment. Sold with copy of m.i.c. showing his first overseas service asthe Balkans 26 September 1915.
