A rare M.G.S. ‘Egypt’ pair awarded to Captain Frederick Hill, 18th Foot, one of only three officers to receive the M.G.S.

Military General Service 1793-1814, 1 clasp, Egypt (Fredk. Hill, Capt. 18th Foot); Sultan’s Gold Medal for Egypt 1801, 36 mm, fitted with original hook and chain but old repair to suspension and damage to hook, the first with edge bruises, otherwise better than good fine (2) £900-1200
