Passand Khan entered the service in November 1867; Jemadar, June 1886; Subadar, October 1889; Subadar Major, December 1899; retired with rank of Honorary Captain, May 1904; Order of British India 2nd class (Bahadar), 8 January 1902; Order of British India 1st class (Sardar Bahadur), 13 December 1903. Was slightly wounded on 28 July 1879, near Gandiaur, during the 2nd Afghan War, at which time he was a Havildar.
