Edward the Elder (899-924), Halfpenny, Two Line type [HC], Winhard (?), ead v v eard xx around cross pattée, rev. vviiihard in two lines, three crosses between, 0.59g/11h (cf. EMC 2016.0139, this moneyer from different dies; CTCE –; N 650; S 1088). The flan curved and with two hairline edge cracks, otherwise good very fine, extremely rare £4,000-£5,000
