Historical Medals, Visit of Queen Victoria to Sheffield to Open the New Town Hall, 1897, a silver medal by the Sheffield Goldsmiths’ Co, diademed bust of Victoria left on central medallion, surrounded by three lines of legend, rev. elevation of the Town Hall, 44mm (W & E 3460A [not recorded in silver]). Minor surface marks, otherwise extremely fine and richly toned, very rare in this metal £90-£120
