Celtic, bronze miniature votive Axe Heads (8), c. 4th-1st cent. BC, various sizes, largest 4.8cm x 2.5cm, smallest 4.1cm x 2.2cm, all of flanged type with flared crescentic cutting edge [8]. All intact in very fine condition with green/brown patinas £60-£80

Believed to have first been found in the UK over 40 years ago, votive axes appear to originate from temple sites in the 1st cent. BC, usually as looped socketed types. These appear to be much earlier in date
