Virgin Islands – Double Island issues, St Kitts-Tortola, issues of c. 1801 on St. Kitts, MEXICO, Charles III, a cut half-segment of a Charles IIII 8 Réales, 1795fm, Mexico City, obv. countermarked three times with incuse s for St. Kitts, c. 1801, and later tirtila raised within a shaped indent [type III], 12.62g (Prid. 29, and p.130, this piece illustrated [Sale, lot 218]; Pridmore, SNC September 1974, type III). Coin fair and with traces of mounting, countermarks very fine £400-£600
