Charles I (1625-1649), Oxford mint, Groat, 1644, mm. lis, large crowned bust left, colon stops, rev. pellet before legend, Shrewsbury plume and two lis above Declaration, date and ox below, pellet stops in legend and by lis, date and ox, 1.89g/11h (Morr. C-2; SCBI Brooker –; N 2464; S 2986). Legends weak at 10 o’clock, otherwise very fine with grey tone, rare (£350-450)
