Victoria (1837-1901), Prince Albert, 1845, a silver personal award medal by W. Wyon, bare head right, rev. St. George and dragon, 56mm (BHM 2204; E 1398). Set in a silver raised rim with glass lunette (one side cracked), practically as struck, rare; in leather fitted case of issue (£150-200)

Sold with a contemporary letter in German, which states “Queen Victoria has been often in Saxonia-Coburg and has awarded this medal to my Grandfather”. Reverse only illustrated
