Andreas Mikkelsen (1928 - 2008) started working for Georg Jensen as a sales manager in 1963. Progressing quickly at the silversmithy, Mikkelsen soon began to produce his own jewellery designs, some of which, including the design for this ring, were also produced and sold by Jensen. In 1970 Mikkelsen established his own company, A/M Design, before returning to Jensen in 1983 as artistic director.
