Arthur William Priddle was born in Rimpton, Somerset, and attested for the 14th Reserve Regiment of Cavalry at Kingston-on-Thames. Transferring to the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, he served with the 8th Battalion during the Great War in the Gallipoli theatre of War from 27 August 1915, and was killed in action on 20 September 1915. He is buried in Azmak Cemetery, Turkey.
