Canadian Memorial Cross, G.V.R. ‘41252 Bdr. W. L. C. Thomlinson’, very fine £60-£80

Walter L. Thomlinson was born in Ash, Kent, on 15 March 1894 and having emigrated to Canada attested for the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 25 September 1914. He served with the 2nd Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery during the Great War on the Western Front, and died of wounds on 25 April 1915. He is buried in Poperinghe Old Military Cemetery, Belgium.
