Malcolm John Innes Carr was commissioned Pilot Officer in the General Duties Branch of the Royal Air Force on 21 April 1954, and was promoted Flying Officer on 21 April 1956 and Flight Lieutenant on 13 April 1960. He relinquished his commission at his own request on 1 January 1976.
