John Manders, a native of Middlesbrough, attested for the Yorkshire Regiment and served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 14 November 1914. He was killed in action on 12 March 1915; he has no known grave and is commemorated on Le Touret Memorial, France.

W. Hodson attested for the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry and served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front. He died on 20 November 1917 and is buried in Ribecourt British Cemetery, France.
