Arthur Stephen Cave was appointed Lieutenant in the Royal Berkshire Regiment on 29 August 1885; Captain, 11 May 1894; Major, 16 March 1904; retired 1909. He served with the Egyptian Frontier Field Force in 1885-86, and was present in the engagement at Ginnis (Medal, and Khedive’s Star). Major Cave died at Nettleton, Wiltshire on 13 July 1945, aged 79.
