Johann Strauss Golden Jubilee Concert, Vienna, 1894, a silver medal by A. Scharff, bust right, wearing bow tie, rev. musical instruments stacked before a hall filled with waltzing couples, 59mm (Niggl 1954; BDM V, 369); together with a uniface medal of Strauss by A. Hartig, bust almost full-face, 40mm (cf. Niggl 1942b) [2]. Last extremely fine, first nearly so but sometime cleaned (£80-120)
