Simon, equestrian portrait of Cromwell left, holding baton, arms of the Commonwealth in field behind, titles around, all within wreath border, 140mm (Vertue, pls.vi, vii; Wyon, The Great Seals of England, p.91; Nathanson, pp.20-1). Traces of Goddard’s powder, small piercing at top, otherwise very fine (£150-200)
