Opening of the Middlesbrough Branch of the Stockton and Darlington Railway, 1830, a white metal medal by J.W. James, end-on view of the Stockton suspension bridge, boats in the river and a distant train beyond, rev. ship berthed alongside coal-staiths, 45mm (BHM 1464; E 1227; Moyaux 7; cf. Swan 48-9). Surfaces and edge marked, otherwise very fine (£40-60)
