James V (1513-1542), Groat, type III, Edinburgh, mm. cross on obv. only, single arched crown, nine jewels to band, open mantle, trefoil of pellets behind head, 2.60g/1h (Stevenson III, obv. die 7; SCBI 35, 935-6, B 15, fig. 717; S 5378). Scratches on face but very fine (£250-300)
