James III (1460-1488), Groat, Aberdeen, mm. cross on obv., cross fleury on rev., annulet before face, rev. cross fleury before vil, annulet and three pellets in first and fourth quarters, crown in second and third quarters, 2.92g/2h (SCBI 35, 789; B 55, fig. 646; S 5291). Hairline striking crack at top, verdigris both sides and face lightly scraped, otherwise fine, very rare (£200-250)
