James III (1460-1488), Groat, Edinburgh, mm. cross pattée, crown of five fleurs, trefoils on cusps at sides, rev. cross before vil, three pellets in first and fourth quarters, mullet of six points in second and third quarters, double saltire stops both sides, 2.57g/3h (SCBI 35, 754; B 15; S 5273). Very fine (£350-400)
