James III (1460-1488), Groat, Edinburgh, mm. cross, tressure of eight arcs broken by bust, trefoils on cusps at sides, rev. thistle in first and fourth quarters, small mullet of six points in second and third quarters, 1.98g/3h (cf. SCBI 35, 749-52; cf. B 13, fig. 583; S 5270). Nearly very fine, rare (£300-350)
