Charles I (1625-1649), Exeter mint, Crown, 1645, mm. castle on obv., rose on rev., 29.13g/3h (Besly D18; SCBI Brooker 1039 and Brettell 365, same dies; N 2559; S 3060). Flan split at 6 o’clock, otherwise good very fine and toned, rare £600-£800
