Charles I (1625-1649), Chester mint, Halfcrown, mm. three upright gerbs, horseman left, Chester plume in field, chst below horse, oval scroll-garnished shield, 14.13g/12h (Bull 575 (47-2), same dies; Lyall B/2; SCBI Brooker 1111; N 2627/1; S 3130). Scores on horse’s rump and a little weak in places, otherwise about very fine for issue, very rare £4,000-£5,000
