5th (Princess Charlotte of Wales’s) Dragoon Guards, a rare and very early embroidered officer’s flap pouch c1804-1815, the velvet frontal flap embroidered with the Princess’es coronet over Old English capitals ‘PCW’, edging lace with inner Greek Key designs, ther blue moroccan box still fitted with the wooden five shot rack and bearing the majority of original trade label ‘Hawkes Moseley & Co 22 Piccadilly London’, the frontal velvet heavily worn and discoloured, side fitments missing plus other stitching faults (1) £500-600

The regiment was granted the additional title in 1804; c1815 the design of the pouch and sabretache were altered to accommodate the Salamanca and Peninsula honours.
