8th The King’s Royal Irish Hussars a good quality full length watercolour drawing of an officer in undress uniform 1844 by the noted Irish artist Robert Richard Scanlan (fl. 1826-1864), the subject is depicted in his frock coat and gold lace striped overalls, a narrow gold laced waist belt sword and sabretache, in his right hand the blue cloth and gold laced 1826 pattern forage cap, signed and dated, now in a good quality modern mount and ornate frame, very slight foxing otherwise in excellent condition £300-400
