Henri Chartier (1858-1924), a very large and impressive oil pinting on canvas (181cm x 321cm) entitled ‘A Cavalry Charge’, possibly depicting a scene from the Franco Prussian War, French dragoons at the full gallop with sabres drawn, signed and dated 1890,unframed, canvas damaged and requires careful attention, the varnish has deteriorated and yellowed somewhat, but well worthy of restoration £3000-5000
