Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (Arnold Ellis); together with commemorative scroll inscribed, ‘Pte. Arnold Eliis, Middlesex Regiment’, this glass fronted, the two set in a wooden frame, 30 x 55cm. (approx.), good very fine £35-45

Arnold Ellis was born in Barnet, Hertfordshire and residing at New Southgate, enlisted at Mill Hill, Middlesex. Serving as a Private with the 17th Battalion Middlesex Regiment he was killed in action, France / Flanders, 8 August 1916, aged 20 years. He was buried at Delville Wood Cemetery, Longueval.
