Second Lieutenant George Vernon Charlesworth was killed in action in France and Flanders on 28 September 1918 during the British assault on the Hindenburg Line, whilst serving with the 6th Battalion, Duke of Wellington’s (West Riding Regiment). He is buried at Grand Ravine British Cemetery, Havrincourt, France. Sold 19 copied pages from National Archives correspondence file and copy m.i.c. showing additional entitlement to 1914-15 Star.
