Alfred Adrean Daniels, who was born in September 1900, enlisted in the Union Defence Force at Cape Town in January 1943 and was posted as a Private to the South African Medical Corps. Found to be ‘medically unfit’, however, he was discharged at Pretoria in September of the same year.
