Seven: Warrant Officer/Temporary Captain A. E. Sterley, South African Air Force, late South African Service Corps

Coronation 1953, unnamed; Union Medal (53); British War Medal 1914-20 (Dvr., S.A.S.C.); Italy Star; War Medal 1939-45; Africa Service Medal, these last three named (P.36 A. E. Sterley); Permanent Forces of the Empire L.S.& G.C., G.V.R. (36 Flt. Sgt., S.A.A.F.), mounted as worn in the above order, third very fine, others nearly extremely fine (7) £120-180

Arthur Everitt Sterley served in the S.A.S.C. during the latter part of the Great War. During the Second World War he served in the S.A.A.F. as a Warrant Officer but for a time held the Temporary rank of Captain. Sold with copied service records for both periods of service.
