Three: Lance Corporal G. Topham, East Kent Regiment, died of wounds at Kut Al Amara in January 1916

1914-15 Star (1358 L. Cpl., E. Kent R.); British War and Victory Medals (1358 Pte., E. Kent R.); together with memorial plaque (George Topham); illuminated memorial scroll; transmission slip for B.W.M. and Victory Medals; original boxes and Registered packets of issue for trio; and a fine contemporary watercolour painting of recipients grave at Amara Cemetery, Iraq, 175mm by 248mm, extremely fine (4) £180-220

George Topham wasd born at St Neots, Huntingdonshire and lived and enlisted at Cranbrook, Kent. He died of wounds at Kut Al Amara on 16 January 1916, whilst serving with the 1/5th Battalion, East Kent Regiment. He is buried at Amara War Cemetery, Iraq.
